Greater Portland Export Survey
The Portland Development Commission invites you to participate in the Greater Portland export survey. This brief web survey is being conducted in tandem by the Brookings Institution and the Greater Portland Export Task Force, which includes representation from Greater Portland Inc., the Portland Business Alliance, Metro, Business Oregon, the US Export Assistance Center, the Port of Portland, and the Portland Development Commission.
The Brookings Institution recently named Portland as one of four pilot cities in the Metro Export Initiative (MEI). The MEI helps regional civic, business, and political leaders, with state and federal partners, develop regional export plans to foster regional economic growth through increased export activities. Along with Portland, Brookings will also partner this year with leaders in three other metro areas to develop these export strategies – Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and Syracuse.
The intended respondents to the survey are traded sector companies located in the Greater Portland Metro Area, but they are not required to be established exporters. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete the survey. Respondents who submit a completed survey (along with their contact information) will be entered to win prizes such as a case of wine from Sokol Blosser or a special gift from Pendleton Woolen Mills! To be entered into the prize drawing, you must complete the survey by July 19, 2011.
